I had lunch today with an artist friend and another stopped by the table to chat.  I love knowing artists.  I love talking about their art.  They are so animated and excited when they talk about their work.  It all becomes exciting to me, too. 

I did post a new painting today to my Recent Work page.  It is going to be entered in the Nevada Watercolor Society Signature show tomorrow.  Now, maybe I'll get to work and do some painting!

Again, life gets in the way of painting sometimes, but it is good, too.  I have company coming this week.  But when they go home, after all the fun, I'll update this site and paint that one painting I'm dying to tackle.

It is so much fun to look at my website stats and see hits from all over the world, some from countries I don't even recognize.  No names are given, but once-in-awhile I recognize a friend's computer.  That is always the best!

It is a bit ironic.  When I'm not very busy, I have a hard time thinking of something to paint.  When I get busy with a lot of tasks, I suddenly have ideas popping out all the time.....it always amazes me.  I am learning to keep ideas in my sketchbook for those dry times.

I plan to spend Christmas and New Years with family.  I guess that is really the place to be on the holidays.  I hope for good things next year for me, my family, my friends, and especially my country.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

FINALLY posted a new painting:  Irish Cottage Window.  I've been having too much fun...must get back to work.  I think I'm going to try to work with acrylics a bit.  Don't know if I can do it, but why not try?

Got an early morning call today saying that someone wanted to buy one of the paintings on my website.  SOLD!  What a nice way to start the day.  It is always fun when someone likes a painting well enough to buy it!

I do have a new painting.  Will get it up on the site as soon as I get my camera recharged.  I did it a new way by pouring colors on and then negatively painting around them to get the flowers off the page.  I must try this again.  It was fun.
